Dearest,
keep your mind set on things from above,
and keep yourself from partaking
in the dark pits of your enemy's dwellings.
Keep your heart pure and your emotions anchored.
Keep your tongue from poison—
for it is a powerful tool that can speak life,
but is deadly when misused, much like a weapon.

We have responsibility and must take accountability,
but avoid the dangerous mistake of thinking you are a god.
Pride is salacious like the dripping lips of a seducer.
She will lure you in and steal your inheritance
because you attempted to build yourself a tower;
like the men who attempted to build Babel to reach Heaven,
where He abodes and angels give Him glory eternally, amen.
Such men were struck back down to size
and scattered about like ants running from a striking hand.
Remember those tales of mighty men falling;
for we have modern gods and goddesses,
like politicians and celebrities,
being viciously reminded of their humanity.

Remember your days are counted,
and remain humble.
Learn to know wisdom by her fruits
and recognize her in silence,
so that you know when to apply her ways.
Keep yourself from entrusting in the power of castles
used as tabernacles for the altar of self.
Everything man-made
has broken, spoiled, and crumbled.
