They sing, "Amazing grace!"
at funerals and memorials for the sake of traditions and customs.
To me,
it is not a song, but a reflection of Your testament
that should not be watered down to tradition and custom.
To be lost and found is an encomium every believer must work out for themselves.
My past tells the story of who I was in the world,
but who I am now is because of the euangelion my heart received so openly and desperately.
It is the testament of Your love
shown through the spilling of Your starlit blood,
as it lit up the cross, so it is a guiding light to those who need a Shepherd
to lead them out of the dark.
Even the centurion,
and those who did not accept You while You were still on the earth,
were bucked in the knees of their hardened hearts and confessed,
"Truly this was the Son of God!"
How great was that darkness that blanketed the skies?
How thunderous were the rocks of the earth that quaked and split at the command of Your voice?
