I sink low into your gaze,
like a fallen leave sinking deep
into this glass pond we call love.
I'm blinded by the bedazzled surface,
glowing eccentrically in the rays of vows
I pray you keep.
As your fingers trace through my hair,
my mind begins to play truth or dare,
determined to push me in your arms
until our hearts are skin to skin.
O, I remember
how I used to hug the banks for dear life.
Now, I'd scream to the sky,
"I mean it! The boy is mine!"
