Her eyes fluttered open to see that her Lion was still there. He rested her near a tree, acting as a garrison against the scorching sun, for she was worn down from all that time of running from those ravenous wild dogs. Though her heart was strengthened in His delight over her.
He pointed in the direction of the rivers to what was on the other end, where lush lands laid beneath a firmament made of rich azure and ivory clouds. "Above those very waters is My kingdom. I am taking you there."
But whispers of fear crept in as her eyes realized how far those waters were. Long before they could cross the river, the road ahead was dried and rocky, as if there was a great famine. She dared not voice these thoughts, but He heard them.
So, He said, "Little lamb, little lamb,
gone are your days of sorrow.
Little lamb, behold!
Look and see that coming are the days of honor!
Little lamb, no longer vulnerable and broken.
For I have made you My maiden.
I've adorned you with rubies and gold,
hung on your ears the finest diamonds,
and crowned your head with sapphires.
When I look at you,
I see someone new.
Every wolf that plagued your days,
I have already defeated for you.
Armor yourself with this promise.
Shield yourself with My love."
What a song to replenish even the very depths of her soul.
